For over 20 years, our office has been located in Limoux, a small and charming town of about 10,000 inhabitants. The town lies within one of the most beautiful regions of France, with wonderful countryside that shelters the ruins of Cathare castles and ancient abbeys. Nearby Carcassonne is home to the UNESCO World Heritage sites of la Cité and the Canal du Midi.
Limoux is surrounded by vineyards, many of which provide the grapes for the famous 'Blanquette de Limoux' the prestigious ancestor of Champagne. The town lies about three-quarters of an hour from the Mediterranean coast and an hour and a half from Andorra, Spain and the Pyrenean skiing stations. |

The area is well served by airports, providing good links to the U.K. and the rest of Europe. The nearest airport is at Carcassonne which is less than half an hour from Limoux.
The climate is typical of the south of France, with lots of sunshine and temperate winters. Throughout the year Limoux offers many different types of entertainment, such as the world's longest carnival, outdoor concerts, theatre etc. The area offers many sporting activities including walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, rock climbing, hang gliding, sailing, rafting and golf. As in the other regions of France, food and wine are important here and there are many excellent restaurants utilising fresh local produce. The area attracts more and more people every year. | |
